Belgian-headquartered Picanol Group, which has had a presence in the Indian market since 1956, was displayed four of its latest high-tech weaving machines in the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre. The firm is show its latest airjet innovations, the OMNlplus Summum 4P 190cm and OMNlplus Summum 4P 340cm weaving machines. The OMNIplus Summum 4P 190cm has been developed for creating bottomweight articles and the OMNIplus Summum 4P 340cm weaves a sheeting fabric. The firm's rapier machines OptiMax 6R, created for weaving outdoor furnishings and the GTXplus 6R, which produces a woven silk fabric, are also on show. In additionto these four machines, one picanol jacquard TERRYplus 800 weaving machine is on display at the Staubli booth and an OptiMax jacquard weaving machine is present on the Bonas/Van De While stand. Picanol India has seen a steady growth in its market share. As part of its further commitment to the Indian market, it inaugurated new headquarters in New Delhi in August this year.
